Review: Size Up — It Catches So Much Litter! - This has honestly been a lifesaver for keeping litter from getting tracked everywhere. I definitely recommend buying a mat that is larger than your actual litter box so there’s plenty of room to catch the litter as your cat steps out. Ours catches almost all of it! When it’s time to clean, I can easily pick the mat up and dump the collected litter straight into the trash. Simple, effective, and makes the area around the litter box so much easier to keep clean.

I estimate it has cut down about 90% of the litter these 2 cats track around the house. I hate (HATE!) that litter all over the place!! I kept a broom in the room and I always swept up before I approached the litter area but it still wasn't good enough to keep me from stepping in the litter in front of their box, and of course it did nothing for the litter already tracked around the house. I bought the 24 x30" mat; it's why I chose this brand over others with similar ratings, because this size was available. It extends past the opening of the cat box on both sides, and long enough to catch nearly all the litter off their feet. I'm buying a 2nd one to put in front of this one in hopes of picking up that last little bit still on their tiny precious paws after they walk across the 1st one... again, I pretty much hate (yes, HATE!) having litter all over the place. Its annoying to have to constantly try and sweep and vacuum up! I just do not have time for that and it doesn't work well anyway... it seems resistant to moving once it is on a rung or on the couch/chair/etc. PREVENTION IS THE KEY!! Mine did have crease marks in it on arrival, as it was folded into a plastic bag. It's very hot & sunny outside now so I opened the package, put the mat outside on the porch in the sun all day and that night, it was flat and there was no problem: it laid flat on the floor inside. The cats didn't seem to care that they have to walk over it, they were not bothered by it at all. That was my fear, that they would not walk over it or they would pee on it, but no. And I don't care how it looks (but... it's not ugly imho.) I care about not having litter all over the house. This mat looks SO. MUCH. BETTER. that that, so I am good. If you have any doubts, I would say, give it a try. For less than $20, it's a really great solution.
