## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it have auto depth adjustment**
A: I'm not sure but there is a small wheel on the left side that might adjust the depth.  I don't dare to try it because mine is set perfectly at the moment.  The wheel has an arrow up and down so I'm thinking it might be this.

**Q: Will this punch a portfolio that measuers 113/4 in legenth?**
A: It will NOT punch 11 3/4" long media. The slot will only hold up to 11 3/8" long paper. Also, the punch will not be centered at that length.  It will have 3/8" from one side to the first slot and 4/8" (1/2") from the other side to the last slot... you cannot center it exactly.

**Q: Can this machine bind books of differing page size, say 1/2 letter size of 8-1/2 X 5-1/2? I assume you just cut the combs down to the size you need?**
A: Yes. They can do smaller sizes, and yes they would have to cut the combs down to size... Also they would need to try to get the paper aligned to cut the holes in the proper place though.

**Q: Is it a two step process? Do you have to punch first, set punched papers aside for aligning or can you put the comb on and stack on the comb while punching?**
A: It is a two step process.  First you punch the holes and then you align the papers and put the comb on.

I totally wish I had purchased this a long time ago as it is worth the money. Great machine, sturdy, a little heavy (no complaints at all just giving a review), well built, fast, easy to use. If you have ever used a manual binding machine, you know how long it takes to punch and bind. After one use you will not go back to manual unless your power goes out. Capable of punching and assembling as you go. Totally like the tray that holds the binding combs. Nice feature so that I don't have to keep the box on the table. This machine is so easy to use I had help from a sixth grader who after a little supervising and instructions was able to do it on her own. Just make sure that your paper sits all the way down inside the punching area. Use the line on the lid is your guide that the paper sits down properly. The edge of your paper should be flush with the line on the lid. I highly recommend to anyone who is considering purchasing this machine
