You will need to manually adjust it to zero on a hard surface before testing. **Q: Is the measurement highly accurate?** A: As far as I can tell, I have a barrel gauge which indicates tyres are between 5-6mm whereas Godeson indicates a particular tyre is 5.6mm and other tyres at different decimal points between 5&6 mil.
