But they are inexpensive for what you get and much nicer than the wire-style or plastic latches that are sometimes used on trailers. They also have an anti-rattle design which is nice for trailers where the wind will bounce others around when underway. When I refurb my two Haulmark trailers I'll replace the cheap plastic OEM latches with these. They also feature a much more secure latching mechanism than the wire or plastic "ball" latches. You can be sure these won't come unlatched accidentally, yet they can still be undone one-handed. As with most items offered by this brand, really well designed. I Like this one because it's strong, doesn't have an angle to match up and it's aluminum so it won't rust like the others.
