Product Description 3M Aqua-Pure Whole House Large Sump Replacement Water Filter Drop-in Cartridge AP810-2 is a standard 4.5" diameter drop-in cartridge that is manufacturer tested and verified to reduce sediment down to 5 micron nominal for cleaner drinking water. Rigid polypropylene fiber construction, which helps capture and retain sediment from your water and prevent particle release that can result from system flow upsets. The grooved surface increases total surface area for longer cartridge life as compared to 3M non-grooved surface cartridges. With these features, the AP810 is a great choice in water filtration and is ideal for larger homes with at least 2.5 bathrooms. To maximize system performance and efficiency, regularly scheduled maintenance including replacement of the cartridge every 6 months or sooner if a reduction in water flow occurs is required. Filter life is dependent on actual use and incoming water quality. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Aqua-Pure® Water Filter Cartridge AP810-2 helps to reduce sediment particles as small as 5 microns in size, as well as rust, providing clearer water for drinking, bathing, laundry, and other household uses. 3M’s exclusive Micro-KleanTM XL progressive porosity technology forces water through pores that become increasingly tighter, filtering smaller and smaller microscopic particles. The unique process allows the cartridge to effectively reduce sediment while providing a high flow rate. The cartridge lasts up to six months before replacement.The cartridge is manufactured by 3M Purification Inc. (3MPITM), formerly CUNO Incorporated. It has a flow rate of up to 45 gallons/170 liters per minute. It operates at temperatures from 40-100°F (4.4-37.8°C) and water pressures from 25-100psi (172-690 kPa). It is for use with whole-house water filtration systems AP802 and AP802-1.5C. The cartridge should be replaced every six months, or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs. It is for use with Aqua-Pure AP802 and Aqua-Pure AP802-1.5C Water Filter Systems. Whole-house water treatment systems range from simple canisters with disposable filter cartridges to complex systems of tanks and filters for different contaminants. A system that includes a water softener may be bypassed by a cold drinking water line to provide salt-free drinking water. Whole-house systems are typically installed immediately downstream from water meters and well pumps, and thus may be referred to as point-of-entry (POE) systems. Review: (SW) Denver Water - Got a Halo mini 3 system from plumbline. Called to get the filters replaced and plumbline wanted $500. Bought this 3m sediment filter and the matching 3m carbon filter. Took 10 minutes to replace. Just washing my hands i could tell the difference. Great filters!! Took a shower and oh man, my shampoo smelled amazing and quite strong (in a good way). Crazy how denver water is considered "good"... will update with pic of used 3m filter in 6 months. The dirty one pictured is the crappy HALO 3 MINI OEM Filter. Shut off your water > hit the bypass levers on your filter loop > close off the water heater pipe and throw it on pilot > put some paint buckets under the filter cubbies > press the pressure release button/valve ( water leaks out and pressure is released) > remove/unscrew housing (heavy/wet!). > clean inside of housing > drop new filters in > grease up new o rings with nsf silicon plumbers grease > screw housing back on > turn water back on > route water back through filter loop > run cold water in your furthest bath tub for 15 to 30 min > re open water heater valve > turn water heater from "pilot" to "hot". Water will have micro bubbles for up to two weeks after new filter - normal! Now you have better filters than you'd get from plumbline and you saved $300. You could take this opportunity to do your annual water heater flush too, as this is recommended by your local super mario/plumbline professional. 1.) Incredibly happy to see the water filtration system was needed. 2.)Incredibly excited about the 3m filter. to see the quality of the OEM filter plumbline gave me was terrible, made this purchase even better. You can see the difference 3M is the clear winner $500? It took me 10 min to replace the sediment filter and the carbon filter. Can't imagine what they would want to charge if I asked for 3m filters...highway robbery!!

Got a Halo mini 3 system from plumbline. Called to get the filters replaced and plumbline wanted $500. Bought this 3m sediment filter and the matching 3m carbon filter. Took 10 minutes to replace. Just washing my hands i could tell the difference. Great filters!! Took a shower and oh man, my shampoo smelled amazing and quite strong (in a good way). Crazy how denver water is considered "good"... will update with pic of used 3m filter in 6 months. The dirty one pictured is the crappy HALO 3 MINI OEM Filter. Shut off your water > hit the bypass levers on your filter loop > close off the water heater pipe and throw it on pilot > put some paint buckets under the filter cubbies > press the pressure release button/valve ( water leaks out and pressure is released) > remove/unscrew housing (heavy/wet!). > clean inside of housing > drop new filters in > grease up new o rings with nsf silicon plumbers grease > screw housing back on > turn water back on > route water back through filter loop > run cold water in your furthest bath tub for 15 to 30 min > re open water heater valve > turn water heater from "pilot" to "hot".
