It says 1 gram of sugar. Hope this is helpful. I personally like this shake. This is one of the better tasting protein shakes. No issues. **Q: How much fat is in these** A: 1 gram -- 0 saturated or transfat **Q: how much sugar and is it natural?** A: You can look up the nutrition label. It says 1 g. sugar. Which is very low. The sugar they use is sacralose. It's not natural. It's an artificial sweetener. But the drink is ooooh, so good! This is far more convenient since I don't have to keep milk stocked and I can just grab one out of the fridge and go. At 160 calories, with 35 grams of protein, it's got a great protein to calorie ratio. You'd think with only 160 calories, it'd taste chalky, but it doesn't. It's actually pretty tasty and I don't just mean in comparison to other protein shakes. I would say it actually tastes good, especially the strawberry. It's got a creamy sweet taste to it and if someone just handed it to me in a glass, I would think it was strawberry milk made with skim milk. I thought the cookies and cream left something to be desired, but both the strawberry and vanilla are on par with each other, and the chocolate is just a step below. If someone handed me the chocolate in a glass, I wouldn't think it was chocolate milk, but I also wouldn't think it was a protein shake either.As far as cost goes, at first glance it seems like it's more per serving than comparable protein powder, but I've done the math and it's not (at least on the protein powder I buy). Pure Protein shakes are about $1.65 per serving (for subscribe and save, at the time of this review). Comparable protein powder is $1.12 per serving. Then, depending on the milk you get, whether it's organic, or almond, or whatever, it's anywhere from 50 to 75 cents a serving (12oz for protein powder, not talking about an 8oz serving of milk) so you're looking at the same price or even more AND it's far more work. Not to mention it doesn't taste as good, imo. I replaced a morning coffee and bagel with this shake and have noticed a resulting weight loss. The flavor is fairly good, as is the consistency.My only issue with these shakes is the added strength that they've given me. It's superhuman, really. I was at the gym doing my normal set of weight lifting when I somehow managed to lift triple my normal weight. My personal trainer was shocked. I attempted to lift the weights with my normal stance, and when they were so much lighter I mistakenly threw them up at the ceiling, damaging several ceiling tiles and knocking a light fixture loose from the wall. Wires were dangling everywhere. It was like a scene from a movie.“Whoa!” my personal trainer exclaimed. “Where the heck did you get all that strength from?!”“I… I don’t know,” I stammered. “I just had a new protein shake this morning. That’s the only thing I did differently. Wait a minute… The protein shakes! What’s in those things?!”The answer is that the Pure Protein shakes have 35 milligrams of protein as well as 80% of your daily calcium intake. The whole point was that I wanted to take this to work, or on the go, and I was kind of embarrassed to open and drink this since it just sprays/spits on me.the flavor is fine, the value is fine. But I am realizing I am disliking canned drinks as a whole and I am preferring bottled drinks (sodas, waters, protein shakes) because they're resealable and better for travel and tend to spray less, and no slight metallic taste.If you like canned drinks and shakes, then these are for you!
