For the pocket to hold the inserts you could do that with careful calculation for your laser setup, or it could be done with a CNC machine. I'm not sure about the insert manufacturing - it could possibly be a laser job as well or purchased separately, but the raw cost probably isn't too high a few bucks. Now add in the time to manufacture, assemble packaging, label, and ship, as well the cost of damaged pieces or missing shipments. Finally you can add the channel (e.g. Amazon) costs and margin.
