Then on one of the side guides of the unit where the slide is I took out the guide insert and put a small washer onto the bolt and reinserted the bolt. Just tighten this bolt enough to prevent any free movement but yet allows it to control lift without any jerks or sticky motion and the unit works great with fine control. I’ve got it clamped directly to my desk, and it hasn’t budged once. The build is solid, the spring feels strong, and the throw is adjustable enough for my setup. Setup was as easy as plug and play. You don't have to worry about drivers. Once mapped in-game, it worked flawlessly. The hall sensor gives it good long-term precision too.
