A: We carry our daughter's electric scooter on ours.

**Q: Do you have to put the ramp on? The size is perfect for what I need but the ramp nor its extra weight is needed.**
A: No you don't have to install the ramp. It does fold down to make another floor but removing it will definitely take off some weight.

**Q: Does the ramp lie flat when not in use?**
A: Yep.  It folds into the basket and lies flat.  There is also a spring-loaded pin to “lock” it into place and keep it from bouncing up.

**Q: I have a Mazda 3 hatchback..Can this be installed on a smaller car such as mine?**
A: It depends on your hitch class rating.  As long as it's higher than what this rack requires, you are fine.
