Thank You so much 😊** A: Hello, The yellow light indicates that you have about 120 gallons of water left before reaching 1,000 gallons. This is a good time to order your replacement cartridge. Thank you, WaterChef Customer Care **Q: No green light after battery and cartridge replacement. Can someone help please?** A: I’ve had the same problem with two replacement cartridges and batteries. Have been replacing based on time since the lights don’t seem to work. **Q: Does the filter look different when used? After more than 1 year mine is still white and no lights blinking** A: Then you are lucky, you must have really good water. We have been using WaterChef under the sink filter for years now, and every time the red light blinking & we change the filter, it is a greyish color. You can definitely see the residue on it. **Q: The yellow and red lights flash a few times then go off. No green light. I'm replacing the filter. What does this mean?** A: That happens to me as well. When replacing the filter make sure you replace the battery that comes with it. For me after about six months I start seeing the red light flash again ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product and investment! *by on Reviewed in the United States March 22, 2026* I absolutely give my WaterChef filtration water system 5 stars! I’ve enjoyed it for about 7 years now and it has worked perfectly from day one. I get fresh water with no impurities at the flip of a handle. So convenient, it is used throughout the day. Never a leak. Beautiful design, definitely one of my better investments!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want a filter, this is unbeatable *by on Reviewed in the United States April 16, 2019* Update 11/3/21: I just replaced my filters for the third time. This water filtration system is simply the best, in my opinion. Our water tastes great, is clear, clean and is great for the environment. We use thermal water bottles for take along, eliminating throw away plastic bottles. This system is a terrific value, and they have found a loyal customer.Original review: I bought this filter to replace all of the other filters I have tried over the years. Filters hanging on my faucet, or huge filter pitchers in my fridge or on my counter, replacement filters taking up space in my pantry. The cost of all that stuff really angered me. I started my search for an alternative. I found it with Water Chef. Under the counter installation that was so easy. Did it myself. The filter works for 1000 gallons. Our last two filters cartridges lasted for 14 months. This is our third. We are saving so much money and the water tastes great. No more worries about clean drinking water. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works very well *by on Reviewed in the United States March 9, 2026* We have town water, and it’s amazing how much the filter gets out. We have had our unit for 7 years or so and it is still doing its job very well. ## Frequently Bought Together - WaterChef UR90 Undersink Filter Replacement Cartridge (for WaterChef U9000 Filter Systems) 1000 Gal.
