It takes out a lot of the taste that water holds even from the cleaning process of di resin. Cool thing about this is, it doesn't cause your water filter system to become dirty and nasty looking like charcoal usually does. I had tried to buy some charcoal myself, and then put it in the cartridges myself but I found out rather quickly that that is just a really bad idea because it will cause your entire water filter system to look like you put some dirt in it. This stuff here is like a mold. It's like a hard concrete Carbin filter. Know when your water is getting filtered really good from carbon when you turn the water on and you see little tiny air bubbles in the water. That's the carbon working. This stuff here is a top-notch product

**Q: I replace my D10-A every 3 months.  Do these fit instead?**
A: I am not sure.  I have two containers and use a particulate filter to protect this one so it lasts longer.  The Iron particulates plug this one quite quickly.

**Q: Need to clarify, Is this a 2 filter for $9.29 pack or 1filter pack for $9.29 ?**
A: I cannot answer for other sellers but we sell it as a 2 filter pack.

**Q: What's the difference between this on,  the scwh-5, and the p5a replacement filter cartridge? it's one better than the other? pros and cons?**
A: I have just tried the 5 micron filter because of the area in which we live.  It does a great job and the carbon really gives our well water a great taste.  They do have a shorter life because of the finer sediment Greg remove.

**Q: Does it fit HF-150?**
A: D-10A fits the US-600A, SCWH-5 fits the HF-150A
