It is light on the skin. It takes a few seconds to warm it up between hands and this process is therapeutic. It remains on the skin, making it soft but not greasy. The scent is sweet. It is easy on my breathing- many perfumes and scents will trigger my allergies but this is no problem. I bought a 2 pack and put the smaller tin in my work bag (I'm a home health aide and my hands need all the help they can get!)
