I have owned Swan garden hoses in the past, and the outside material of this garden hose is odd. It isn't rubber, but it isn't exactly reinforced vinyl either. After unwinding, laying flat, and running water through it as instructed, this hose still wants to kink. I do like the construction of the couplings. It doesn't seem that flexible. It keeps fighting me even after being on the lawn in the sun for several days. I rolled it up on the hose reel and the return policy indicates that I have 30 days to decide if this is staying home or being returned.
