Alcloxa is a trade name for what is properly known as 3-chloro(hydroxy)alumanyl-1-(2,5-dioxoimidazolidin-4-yl)urea; aluminium hydroxide. Google alcloxa then work it out from the chemistry and molecular weights or just take my word for it. It has a molecular weight of about 318 grams/mol and aluminum has a molecular weight of 29 so since there are two molecules of aluminum in every alcloxa molecule you are looking at about a 18% concentration by weight of aluminum in the third ingredient of this cosmetic. So lets be clear, the third ingredient is an organic (meaning carbon containing not USDA-organic) salt. Alcloxa is the third ingredient (behind aloe vera gel and water (with lots of parenthesized extracts dumped in parenthesis under water). BTW it's interesting to note that the "tea" late in the ingredient list is not the tea you drink but Triethanolamine which might not be very good for you, so it's banned in Europe. Of course we all know that the US FDA always puts the public first and would never allow anything harmful in our cosmetics or drugs. The seller could not even have the integrity to list it as "TEA " heaven forfend they actually empowered the consumers with information by listing the chemical name Triethanolamine **Q: I did not find an expiration date on this item? Has anyone been able to locate one?** A: All the bottles of this product that I have ever purchased have a "best by" date stamped on them... it is stamped directly below the "Lot Number"... you will have to turn the bottle sideways to read it clearly... but it is there! **Q: Is this product Alvera decoders t aluminum free?** A: Yes, it is aluminum-free. I have used it for years. Works better than other non-aluminum deodorants. nice smell and mild but totally effective and safe. **Q: Have they discontinued? They have been out of stock longer than a month now with no updates. To give a backstory, I developed inverse psoriasis in my armpits this summer after getting too hot outside in the garden. I have been dealing with it for months to no avail. I tried antifungal creams, antibacterial creams, allergy creams, steroid creams, and different deodorants, and NOTHING helped... I used witch hazel, cornstarch baby powder, and no deodorant at all... nothing helped. I developed a very itchy burning rash, and a corn chippy smell. Horrible, I know. After my last tube of deodorant emptied and failed, I decided to look for something much more natural.I discovered this roll-on aloe deodorant, and within the first day the rash I had for months faded, and today it is nearly completely gone. No itch, the corn chippy smell has faded, and the rash is 99% gone! I am stunned... The product overall is great, easy to put on, and dries easily and quickly; it has no sticky tackiness to it, and the smell is quite subtle. Needless to say... I will be a forever customer and never need to worry about finding the perfect deodorant again.
