They Meet the Three "Must-Haves": Lightweight, Good Pockets, and Knee-Length - When looking for athletic shorts I have three basic requirements: 1- they must be lightweight, 2- they must have pockets, and 3- they must settle near my knees. These shorts meet all of them perfectly! Here are the highlights: LIGHTWEIGHT: I primarily use these shorts for running, so a lightweight fabric is a must. This has become especially important to me since, what with COVID19-related-closures, I can't go to my gym anymore and need to run outside in the summer heat. These shorts ended up being just what I needed. They're comprised of two mesh layers placed on top of each other and are incredibly breathable. POCKETS: I also sometimes use my exercise shorts as pajama bottoms or to just lounge around the house, so having pockets is also a must! The pockets in these pants are deep and well-padded, with more than enough space to hold my phone, headphones, wallet, and/or anything else I need. KNEE-LENGTH: While I love running, I've never gotten used to "runners' shorts" that come up too far above my knees. I was a little worried that these shorts would be long enough for me (I'm 6'3"), but they ended up being the perfect length! They reach my knees perfectly (see picture) and look/feel comfortable whether I'm standing up or sitting down. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with these shorts and will purchase more when I need them. Enjoy!

A: yes there is a string!

**Q: do these shorts have an inner lining?**
A: I bought 2 pairs of these exact shorts same link 1 year ago (2020) and they both had lining (separate purchases). I just bought another pair (July 2021) and no lining. I will be returning the most recent pair.

**Q: Do these shorts have 3 pockets**
A: No back pocket, just side pockets.

These are very nice but they are a bit long. They are comfortable and don’t fade like cotton shorts. The phone pocket works really well with my iPhone 14.
