I did a lot of research to find hair clips that won't scratch or have little potential of poking my 1yo's eyes. These were great to keep her hair out of her eyes for about a couple of months when her hair got long, but she didn't have enough hair volume to tie up with a hair band. Once she started pulling it out, I stopped using them, but that was also around the time she finally had enough hair for some tiny hair bands.
