I live in a strong DAB area but always prefer to listen on FM. Trouble is, this has to come from the distant Wrotham transmitter - Oxford is closer but the Chilterns are in the way - so the signal needs all the help it can get. I fitted the aerial to my home-office Ruark R2i, whose standard aerial extends to barely 60cm. The improvement is noticeable. I can now enjoy Radio 3 on FM whenever I like, rather than just when the atmospheric conditions are helpful. I still have to put the R2i into mono mode - but stereo from speakers 21cm apart is really only wishful thinking anyway, so that's no great loss. The strong DAB signal is still there if I want something that's not broadcast on FM. Incidentally, I also tried the Bingfu FM dipole aerial, hoping the 3m cable and the wider choice of aerial position would get me a stronger signal, but it didn't. So I suggest that if a full-fat rooftop FM aerial isn't practical or economic, this one is about as good as an indoor aerial can get.
