Like all natural deodorants, this natural deodorant lasted less than one day, less than half a day on a hot day. Applying it was an unpleasant experience, it sort of stuck and was hard to move. That was a weird sensation, and I thought it was only coming off on the hair. Turns out there was no need to worry: The stuff obviously sunk into my armpits because it turned them an angry red that was absolutely terrifying. Well, let's not exaggerate. It was alarming. Later, Zak sent me an email asking me if I liked it, and if I'd like to try their reformulated deodorant for 15% off. Ha! Ha! Ha! Lesson learned. Buy Old Spice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rescued me from the pits of despair *by T***S on July 7, 2015* I tried this based on reviews, and im glad i did. First, about me: i am extremely chemically sensitive. Even if i cant smell it, if it is even the least bit unsafe, my body will punish me for going anywhere near it. So i spend a lot of my time avoiding places and people steeped in chemical fragrances (I'm sure they are otherwise fun to be around). But with your armpits, no matter where you go, there they are.So, after i realized i was slowly gassing myself to death with conventional deodorant (and more quickly, when 'body heat activated'), i switched to arm and hammer essentials, unscented variety. There i stayed for a few years, with a nice, somewhat natural smell, vaguely of lemongrass and light b.o.I recently noticed that everywhere i would apply it, my skin was ever so slightly peeling, and irritated (pinkish). Creeped out, but still not wanting to go back to neon green sportzone dude stick in 'fresh chloroform scent' i ignored the problem. Blamed it on excessive friction, or high humidity (both of which could have been true) and went on for months like this, stupidly, because i thought i had no choice. Stupid, because thats what amazon is. Choice, in almost every conceivable category.Enter Zak, unscented. This stuff goes on easy (after a week or so of healing, thank goodness), and dry-ish, if you throughly dry yourself first. It smells like almost nothing. I use a lot of unscented products, and most just mean that there are no Added fragrances. But it almost always means it will smell like whatever it is made out of. This smells kind of like.. I don't know, manila paper? Glue stick? Some kind of school supply un-scent memory from my childhood. Which sounds weird, but is actually great.I don't know about 24 hour protection though. I kind of smell a little bit now, 16 hours after putting it on this AM.
