It keeps drinks warm and the lid works well and is pretty leak proof when you remember to close the clasp. If you don't coffee will slosh underneath it. The lid feels a little cheap when drinking from it but I don't necessarily mind. I have been washing it in the dishwasher and it has so far held up well. If it doesn't I plan to buy a replacement lid. I have been hand washing the tumbler which is easy being as short as it is.
