## Description

desertcart.com: PRILINE TPU Filament，PRILINE 98A TPU Flexible Soft 3D Printer Filament，1KG 1.75mm Spool Durable Flexible Material, Yellow : Industrial & Scientific

Review: Good flexibility, but poor resiliency - So far, outstanding print quality at 215C, 25mm/s when filament is kept very dry. Product claims softness of Shore 98A, which would suggest slightly less flexibility than Shore 95A, which is common with other common TPU varieties. That's exactly why I purchased it and it delivers. Additionally, thin sections can be flexed hundreds of times with no appreciable change in properties, which suggests that the parts will have the famous TPU durability. My only disappointment is that when parts are flexed and then released, they only recover about 50% to their original shape. The other TPU I have experience with is Hatchbox, which recovers nearly 100% to the original shape, making the Hatchbox far more useful for what I had intended. Since the mfgr. makes no claims on resiliency (that I saw), I have no basis to demote the feedback rating, but next purchasers should be aware of the properties they can expect. Update 2021.05.12: Rather than using this for applications requiring flexibility, we find this is our go-to material for applications where the parts are actually going to be used and where we would otherwise have used PLA. If we just want something to sit on a shelf and look good, we can use up the PLA. But if the parts are going to be handled, assembled, dropped, drilled, screwed together, and stepped on, we use this. This material is what should be used when you want to make something really useful. Update June 2024: -Dry thoroughly (can’t be over emphasized) -Use a max volumetric flow of 2mm3/s to automatically limit print speeds (independent of layer height or width) -Use 200c nozzle temp (yes, it seems low, but layer bonding is still perfect and detail/bridging rivals PLA) -use 1 degree ramping lift to further minimize stringing, but with dry filament and relatively low flow rate, there shouldn’t be much stringing anyway. This stuff is extremely underrated for making very strong, useful things.
Review: Best 98A TPU I've used! Proper plastic spool, prints clean, nice matte finish. - This is the best 98A TPU I've used. -Prints super clean at 210C. Very minimal stringing when tuned properly. -Proper plastic spool - none of the cardboard garbage so many others are using. Priline - please keep it this way! -Works great with my Bambu H2D and AMS HT. -In black, it has a more matte finish than most TPUs, which I find appealing. -Has some flexibility without being super rubbery, even when printed solid. -Good price. Some printing tips: TEMP: 210C proved to be a sweet spot for me. RETRACTION LENGTH: Avoid significant retraction as it can cause ugly wall gaps - keep it at 0.4mm or less. Z HOP: A normal-style Z hop of 0.4mm works nicely - avoids top layer travel scars without producing stringing. RETRACTION SPEED: 30mm/s worked well for me. TRAVEL SPEED: In lieu of relying on retraction for ooze avoidance, ramp up the travel speed - I use 1000mm/s. PRINT SPEED: 40mm/s gives me clean walls. K FACTOR: I've had success with 0.2.

## Features

- 【Durability 98A TPU Material】PRILINE Flexible TPU Filament is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) based filament with wonderful flexibility and durability. Featuring shore hardness of 98A, the TPU is the most consistent filament, works great for certain structural parts that also had some flexural areas, like RC parts, gaskets, and so much more.
- 【Clog-Free & Excellent Layer Adhesion】PRILINE TPU Filament use excellent raw material and clog-free formula to guarantee the seamless and smooth printing experience. It is a perfect combination of tough, slightly flexible and able to produce detailed and nice looking prints.
- 【Dimensional Accuracy & Dry enough】Advanced control system in the PRILINE TPU filament manufacturing guarantee these flexible filaments to be strict tolerances, diameter 1.75mm. PRILINE spools undergo thorough drying for enough time before packaging and are vacuum-sealed in a transparent bag. To maintain optimal performance, store TPU filament in sealed storage with desiccants or dry for 4-6 hours at 60˚C before use.
- 【Wide Compatibility and Color Selection】PRILINE TPU filament is perfectly compatible with most FDM 3D printer. Just pass the filament through the fixed hole to avoid tangles after use. Vibrant colors are available and PRILINE TPU is developing more colors. The customized color is welcome.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What’s the meaning of 98a?**
A: It is shore value 98a, which a global portable (rubber/plastics)hardness testing. The number 98 refers to the hardness. The smaller the number, the softer the material. Most common tpu filament in the market is 95a. Our tpu 98a is stiffer than it.

**Q: How flexible or elastic are the printed objects?**
A: If you need a little stiff filament to make some strong, useful things, or some structural parts that also had some flexural areas, picked this up. Like rc car tires, fpv parts.

**Q: If a mask was printed with this would it be flexible enough to mould to my face making it almost airtight?**
A: No. The material can flex a bit, but can’t be molded into shapes after printing. It is not so soft.

**Q: What is the printing speed and temperature?**
A: It is actually pretty good TPU, being that it's 98a it prints slightly faster than the softer TPU filaments. Sometimes, we just choose the pre-settings of PLA in X1C. It works. We can print at 210-245, depending on the printers and the speed.

**Q: Does Priline 98A TPU work on the Bambulab AMS ? What is the recommended drying temperature?**
A: Don't put it in your AMS! Although some users had made it work well in AMS, anyway, it is a flexible material, we did not suggest this. Usually, we can dry this filament for 4 hours at 80℃, with hot wind.
