I am sat by Loch Long in Scotland and tonight the midges were in a swarm around me on the patio area. I had smidge the rated midge repellent on and it held them a few inches away but they kept trying so I gave the Thermacell a go. I fired it up as instructed and it took about 10 mins but they vanished and haven't been back. This is a must for summers in Scotland etc. If you search the Internet you can but refills that equate to 120 hours of protection for about £50. Well worth it Review: Midge repeller - We have a Campervan and travel regularly to the Scottish west coast and can be plagued by midges on some days.
