I'm glad I chose to read the manga, because the anime cuts a lot of content from the light novel and the animations aren't very good. I haven't watched the anime and I didn't read the light novel. When you buy this be aware that this is the manga, not the light novel. They have the same title and it doesn't seem like you can easily tell which is which, so I recommend the "look inside" before you purchase this. I read this on Kindle. It's pretty easy to read. You can zoom in to individual panels and it helps you see details that are easily missed. Reading on a computer is not as easy, because while you can zoom in to individual panels, it still shows the other page on the side, so it can be distracting. I wasn't sure if the main character's transmute skill would be any good, but this is truly an underdog hero who rises to the occasion against demons. If you like Solo Leveling, I recommend you give this a try. It feels a little too fast-paced, characters are a bit hard to remember, and sometimes the artwork can be hard to follow, but this is definitely a good read.
