The end had been damaged somehow. I had to cut the rubber pipe and install the old metal flared connector and add a spliced rubber hose to the two metal pipe ends. It took four hose clamps to stop the seeping fluid. If I could have sent it back I would have done so, but I needed to fix the car and get to work. Choices had to be made and I made the best choice for me. I don't know if I will order from amazon again for this part. I wonder where they get them. I just wish it had worked without the aggie engineering but hell this is Texas and we are survivors. The leak is manageable but messy. I have to check the fluid weekly and there is no dipstick, so I have to raise the car up level after warming the fluid and unscrew the fill bolt. PITA. I am thinking junkyard for a replacement. At least I can besure it wasn't leaking when the car was junked. I use thread tape on the threaded ends to prevent any leaks. I changed the transmission fluid and filter as well because it had over 100,000 miles on it. I drove the vehicle over 200 miles on the highway. The result was no leaks or any material defects.
