Even without it the cloudiness wasn't too bad (I did not rinse it prior to adding and left my fish in the tank) and was pretty much settled within 24 hours, I can't really recall how many days it was super clear afterwards, maybe 2-3. My latest picture was prior to me typing this because I forgot to take a fully "clear" picture.It wasn't jet black in color, but the description said it could vary so I wasn't overly concerned, just wanted something dark to mix in with the existing sands I have in my tank.
