No matter who you are, if you are suffering w anxiety, depression, a rough childhood, this book will relate! I grew up with my grandparents. (Still love her very much) My mother also suffered severe mental health issues that caused the state to intervene. I went crazy as a teen and into foster care when no one would have me. Depression, anxiety, and addiction have been a part of my reality as well. I used to write music like it was my diary (I'd get mad when anyone walked in on me writing a song like they'd busted in on me in a bathroom)I had great aspirations that I let "the voices" talk me out of. Its amazing to dive into this book and feel so understood (minus the successful part 🙄) I feel very uplifted, motivated, inspired, and connected having read this. I don't think there are words to express my gratitude for such honesty from someone who's music was already such a source of solice for me. Amazing...I have a lot more hope for my own life having read this! It will help you to understand what goes on in the mind of a person who suffers with anxiety and depression and hopefully this book will help people be more understanding and less judgemental.. there's so much I could say about this book but it'll be too long... I myself have been diagnosed with Bipolar depression and anxiety and unfortunately know all too well the feelings he had and thoughts that went through his head...
