I enjoy holding this solid piece in my hand vs the original kohler pipe. Installation is easy just tighten hand tight. One tip: just remove the upper gasket and use plumber putty to seal instead. This is documented in the product manual as a way to fix seal leaking. The drain part of a ceramic sink is usually not perfect circular or in-the-same-plane, and the steel flange is too stiff to conform to the ceramic sink connection.
