The straps of the first pair are a little too wide and bother my skins in the back of my knees when u try to stand up after sitting down or squatting. So I bought this 2nd pair with narrower straps. I used them for the long day hike down to and up from the grand canyon this past Memorial Day weekend and they did not bother my skin AND my knees did not feel pain at all.
