Some pieces required a firm push to get in, but mostly the pieces went in easily. One piece came separated from it's backing, but we glued it back together with a glue stick. No problem. It is a beautiful puzzle, comes in a pink mesh bag, and has blank balsa wood to fix broken pieces if needed. There is a bit of puzzle dust/tiny wood sheddings, but not a problem. It isn't too hard or too easy. There were no missing pieces.
