I can use it in my house and there's no odor. I even polished my nails in my car while I was waiting for kids to get out of school. I used the pink alone with the top coat. I am not skilled enough to do a french manicure on myself. It lasted 6 days with me only having to replace on 3 nails. It would have lasted longer but I had to clip my nails. It peels off so easily so if one chips, it is really easy to peel off and fix.
