I include that to say his decoding skills are far above the level at which this book is written. Unfortunately, his confidence in reading doesn’t transition from school and his guided reading level, to leisurely reading at home. So I purchased this to show him he can read “real” books with lots of words in a page and with “chapters”. Not just guided readers. This book is serving that purpose very well. He also finds the stories silly and engaging. So it hasn’t been pulling teeth just trying to get him to read. He seems to quite enjoy the stories! Review: Wonderful Stories, Good Quality Book - These are adorable short short stories with lovely illustrations for young kids. My three and five year old love them. We have read the whole thing cover to cover multiple times and they talk about the characters even when we are not reading.
