They are an overgrowth of cells that are raised, rough and itchy. If I scratch them off they bleed. I use this lotion and there are at least 80% fewer bumps. Basically it’s used on dry, rough skin to smooth it out. It definitely worked for me. I hope this helps. **Q: is this non comedogenic?** A: Recommended by my dermatologist to use on my son's face and neck for his skin problem that causes dark spots. Also great to reduce wrinkles and lines. Not great of a smell but works for face as well and smell doesn't linger long. **Q: Product has a beige color & no expiration date - is this normal or has it gone bad?** A: Yes, normal color is definitely sort of tan.
