Review: Easy to assemble. Looks great. - It’s a good solidly built product with a good height and number of pegs for hanging coats/hats/bags from. I’ve had cheap ones in the past that wobble or don’t stand up right if the load isn’t evenly balanced. With this I have no worries about hanging a wool topcoat on one side and nothing on the other. Base is heavy and makes it very stable. You’d be hard pressed to tilt this. Perhaps if you’ve got a Sasquatch sized dog, but you don’t have to worry about toddlers tipping it. Quick to assemble, but I do wish the exterior center pole wasn’t marred by having to use two visible screws. It’s a very minor bump, but it does mean that it doesn’t quite look like one solid piece of construction. Overall very happy and it’s my third Yamazaki product. I’ve yet to be disappointed by anything from the brand.

The base and middle post, the black or white part, is made of nice matte metal with wood coat hooks extensions that screw easily into the middle post. It looks very modern and is also very functional!

**Q: just put together the coat rack and it is wobbly and uneven. is it supposed to be like this? did i put it together incorrectly or it built this way?**
A: We have this and it doesn't wobble. Make sure the base underneath sits firmly in the "holder" (ie - the outer piece that goes overtop) and that the washer that bolts it together isn't skewed. That said, it's a tall and narrow piece so if you have uneven flooring or don't disperse the weight of coats/bags on it, it can wobble.

A: Diameter is approximately 11”

**Q: Could this be used outside by a hot tub? Or would the finish on the wood not hold up on the heat and cold?**
A: We don't recommend our products be used outside. Though, the steel is rust resistant, it is not rust proof, and moisture can possibly discolor the wood.

It’s a good solidly built product with a good height and number of pegs for hanging coats/hats/bags from. I’ve had cheap ones in the past that wobble or don’t stand up right if the load isn’t evenly balanced. With this I have no worries about hanging a wool topcoat on one side and nothing on the other.
