My daughter had an arboreal tarantula, so the 'tall' terrarium worked very well. But for a terrestial tarantula I'd go with a longer, shorter terrarium. **Q: How many inches tall is the glass in between the feet of the terrarium and the front vents?** A: I measured on the outside of terrarium. It measured 1.5" from bottom of glass to the vents on the trim below the opening door.
