The crown's vertical height is short. It hardly comes down far enough to fit. Does not fit like an American military cap. Fits pretty much like a tiny beanie sock cap - no air space in the crown. Will NOT buy again only because of the short crown. Everything else about the cap is top notch. Very good quality construction. It fits great, and hasn't shown any real signs of wear in over a month, with pretty much daily wear. I have bought similar black hats in the past for several times the price of this one, and they have been variously flimsy, thin, poorly fitting, or badly proportioned in comparison. Without even considering the price, this is a great hat.
