From the manufacturer HOW TO APPLY? Ensure that surfaces are clean and free from paint varnish, stain, grease, bark or any other contaminants. Shake well before use. Apply by brush, spray, or dip. Use 2 coats minimum. Soak end grains well; dip them for 3+ mins for best protection. Let coats dry between. For curative insect control + fungal prevention : apply 1L/3m². For full prevention (insects & fungi) : apply 1L/4m². Sika is your best ally!

This covers well, I ordered 5 but only needed 4 to do 2 coats and strategic multiple coats on corners etc on a 4x3 cabin. One of the things I was looking for also is the ability to cover over it, so now this is on I will apply the weather proof coating having confidence the cabin is well protected under it. It also covers the warranty with the supplier.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you paint over this treatment?**
A: I used it to treat the inside of a log cabin but I didn’t paint over it. No reason why you cannot paint. It is designed to penetrate deep into the wood and barely affects the surface. It is designed to treat timber window frames which are then normally painted. I have used similar treatments on timber and painted over them with no ill effects. If in doubt, try a small test piece first.

**Q: I want to apply two applications. How long apart do I need to leave it between the first and second application?**
A: Product is a minimum two coat application, further coats can be applied when the previous coat has dried significantly into the surface (approximately 60 minutes).

**Q: Does this cure or protect from wood worm?**
A: Yes.. it says this,  at the bottom of the description =
Features added fungicides, algaecides and Permethrin to actively kill and protect against all known wood rot decay, fungi and wood boring insects.

Or you can buy, Wood Worm Eradicater by the same brand.....

**Q: Can this be used on plywood inside a stable. The ply has a white bloom on it caused by the stable getting wet.**
A: Sadly, we would not advise use on ply or similar

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used on fence panels

Well it's rather difficult to assert that this stuff does the job it says it does on the tin, although I've been using it on my 13 fence panels for some time. I originally used it about 4 years ago and the fence is still in good condition so recently bought more to repeat the process. It doesn't colour the fence, just (hopefully) protects it from water and insects. I actually bought two tins of it since I use a spray to get the treatment into the hard to reach spots, and the spray gets through a litre of product for every one and a half fence panels. You might find it goes further with a brush, but then it takes a lot longer to get the job done. I know because two panels were close to a neighbours fishpond so I do use a brush on the upper parts of those panels (this treatment is toxic to aquatic life) to avoid spraying over the top of the fence. Cleaning equipment is simple enough, just put some washing up liquid and warm water in the spray's container and run it through to clean out any product left in the spray. Then rinse out with a spray of clean water. So, easy to use with a spray, in fact preparing the fence (removing ivy, green patches etc.) takes longer than doing the job.
