Will work. It passes air though the roll the length of it. It makes no difference. Ideally the t is on the bottom, much eiser to service one handed. **Q: Is there a motorgaurd 1/4 air filter** A: Amazon offers both models. You can buy it with 1/2" inlet-outlet, or with the 1/4". If you buy the 1/2" and get 2 adapters ($4.68 at Lowes) you have optionality. **Q: does this go before or after the Regulato/ filter I have** A: Theres a bit of an issue using filter after regulator.
