It did smell very vinegar-y when i opened it up, i'm hoping that goes away quickly. The band itself is tight enough to challenge me but not so tight that I can't stretch the band. I think it will be perfect! So far i have used to twice and holy cow it kicked my butt! It has already helped me feel like I'm getting in a way better workout! I'm excited to order the light band to use around my ankles. The medium is definitely too tight for that.
