You can insert as few as one tablet and adjust it to release at any rate a between no chlorine, dispensation, all the way up to quickly dispensing of several tablets at once, and anything in between. In other words you can get the adjustment just right for your spa. And being able to adjust the dispensation amount to a low volume makes it compatible with using IonRx copper-solution based (i.e. non-chlorine non-bromide) sanitizer, also on Amazon, which I successfully use to get away with much lower chlorine leveles to avoid chlorine irritating the skin, air passages and eyes, and recommend looking into that or any copper solution based water protector.This device has a threaded twist-on cap on the bottom, which is easy to use, as opposed to the top cap of the cheaper units whose lid tabs are hard to line-up with internal notches making them hard to secure the cap onto. Further, it was the ultimate failure of the cap notches in the smaller cheaper plastic unit I had that caused me to look for (and find) this better solution to the problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ KEEPS OUR SPA CLEAN! *by G***O on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2021* We’ve been using this for three months now. Floats low enough that it doesn’t get caught in the lid, when in place. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It works, kind of *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2020* Well, it definitely dispenses the bromine/chlorine, but as far as the ability to choose how much to dispense based on how much of your tablets to expose, I don't believe I've had any success. I've had the thing all the way open to most of the way closed and I get the same readings, and the tablets don't last any longer or less long based on how open or closed I have the unit.Positives: It does appear to be well made (even though Amazon was kind enough to send me a crushed one first) and I expect it to last a long time.
