The fabric is thick and strong and will easily withstand children's antics, but I've added thick throws to avoid damage from the pets. They are comfy enough for light use and look stylish and modern. My only gripe was the wooden frame is a little rough and would benefit from sanding and treating, but for the price I can't complain.

The finished product, when assembled, results in a lovely, comfortable chair. However, I am not the person who should be building this. If you have experience of putting furniture together, you’ll probably be fine, but I found the instructions difficult to follow, and much hilarity ensued when I made pretty much every mistake that could be made with this chair. I put the seat on the wrong way round, then the wrong way up. Luckily, someone else was present who COULD do a good job of putting this together, and it’s a lovely, sturdy, comfortable chair. We use it at the preschool I work at, and it’s often full of as many 3 year olds as you can comfortably fit in an armchair (3 or 4!), as they ‘read’ each other stories and play their games, or an adult with a couple of children snuggled in for story time. Well worth the money.
