I ended up getting these instead and they are great glasses. They have a nice shape to them that reminds me of melted ice. I find that in my left hand they are very secure, they fit like they were molded for my hand. I think they may fit my right hand less securely. I also ordered a set of the shot glasses from this design and those are very study. I dropped one and made a nice ringing noise and didn't break. I definitely recommend these glasses. These include sturdiness, ease of grip, and dishwasher-safety. I am very clumsy, and I have broken many a glass throughout the years, so it is important for me that a glass be difficult to break and not likely to slip out of my hand. The shape and texture of this glass make it comfortable to hold and not as slippery for someone like me. I haven't broken one yet, but I only got the set a few days ago so I can't really say much about the long-term durability. However, the glasses don't feel particularly delicate, so I am not too worried. Finally, I am about as lazy as one can get, and I know that if a glass isn't dishwasher-safe, I probably won't use it (or I'll put it in the dishwasher anyway and have it break, get scuffed, or burst into flames or whatever it is that happens when you put not-dishwasher-safe things into the dishwasher). These have gone in the dishwasher with no bad effects! To conclude: 5 stars!
