I was nervous after smelling it, but a good shake and only a few drops later I had the flavored water I was hoping to recreate. Seriously, give the bottle a shake or two and it makes a difference. I can definitely see why some reviewers noted a strong alcohol or petroleum smell/taste - and if you smell/taste that it means you've used too much. I made this mistake and was disappointed at first. However, after reading a bit more about these extracts (and extracts in general), I gave it another go with a good shake and half of my original amount.
