Review: The original rotary vise maker - I have been tying on a Regal vise for 30 years and love it. I bought this vise for the rotary feature, but to tell you the truth, I don't use the rotary feature much. It's kind of a pain to use. But the jaws are very pointy and great for midges. It's a nice vise and Renzetti was the company that invented the rotary vise so that's the one to buy.

The vise is solid for being a travel vise, I am in the Emergancy medical field and I work a lot of hours and different places a lot, so it was in my best interest to buy a travel vise, as I can tie at work when not busy. 5 huge stars for this vise, if anyone is in the market for a new GOOD vise, give this one a shot, it’s a dandy! ## Questions & Answers

**Q: My husband is left handed. Will he be able to tie with his left hand or anything?**
A: Since the item designation is C2203-R ("R" is for right handed), I expected to find a C2203-L and did not.  What I did do was tie a couple of flies with my C2203-R, reversing it with the fly on the left, it so it becomes an "L" (for left handed).  The only thing that was different was one adjustment knob, that is used once the vise is adjusted.  When reversed, that knobs is on the "far" side of the vertical shaft.  Still not a big deal, by reaching over the top. I talked to a friend who is left handed and he ties right handed since almost all of the demos are done by right handers. Other than that, I don't see it as a problem. It all comes down to what you get used to, and practice at.

**Q: What are the base dimensions?  Length and width?**
A: 5" x 5", I tie some fairly large flies and I've never had a problem with tipping or instability.

**Q: How can I order this in the left handed orientation?**
A: It doesn't appear to come in a left handed variation.  One of my acquaintances ties right handed anyway because most demos are done that way.

**Q: What is the largest hook this vise will hold? I tie 6/0 flies**
A: 2-3 o no problem

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I wanted.

I was a little concerned about the weight of the Traveler after reading a prior review, but I don't find it to be too light at all. Very good vice. There are a number of adjustments that you tinker with, but once set they all work great.
