Just pick one wire to put on each screw on doorbell. **Q: Have you left the jumper wire between R and RC?** A: No, you're not supposed to leave that jumper in there! I don't know how bad for the system it is, but if you now have both R and Rc you don't need that jumper connecting the two. It's only there as an improvisation when you have only one of the R terminals filled.
