### ⭐⭐ Poor quality control

Bought this to replace a stainless machete blade (it was a gift) that literally chipped apart when I used it on thick brush. Pros-the weight feels good and it handles well in the hand. Will update on durability and effectiveness once I use it. The sheath is decent, although made in China. (Blade is stamped South Africa) Cons- the handle feels like cheap plastic that is sloppily molded with excess plastic on the seam. The blade was VERY poorly and sloppily "sharpened". Overhang of metal filings the whole way up the blade from over doing one side. Looks worse in person than the pics. The lower part of the blade feels almost serrated from how sloppy it is. May be a great blade after I clean it up, but it needs completely resharpened I don't feel like I should have to do that out of the box. Would have been better if it was shipped dull instead having to fix CS messing up their own blade. Makes me second-guess the overall quality of the product. In summary, I was originally leaning towards the OKC machete and think I should have gone with my gut. I have read about QC issues before with Cold Steel but figured I'd try them out. Probably the last product of theirs I'll buy.
