The batteries were fully charged, but the camera was then offline the whole night. Tried with other rechargeable batteries and now the camera works again. Then tested these batteries and found only 1060 mAh capacity in it. Way lower than promised. The only positive things I've found is that they are quite narrow and charge fast, but with much fewer capacity and longer than standard AA they are completely useless for me. I have yet to be in a situation where the batteries have gone "dead" They are convenient to charge, will charge on a USB hub, or at least the hubs I own, and seem to hold a charge for a long time. They might take an hour to charge or more. Mine charge in minutes, but I don't drain them. The covers need to be set aside when charging so the included plastic box is a welcome convenience. The caps go on one way only since they are USB format. I think these are slightly pricy but OK for the value. You need to carry these onto the airplane and not check them. In the carrying case, there is no danger of short-circuiting and causing a fire pr a small explosion, but they are not marked on the battery as to chemistry and based on the advertising, should be treated as lithium. What isn't great, was the lack of power I got from these batteries. I fully charged them and used them to power EL wire. Normal AA batteries will power a strand for at least 8-10 hours. I have 8 of these batteries and they were all completely dead after 2 hours of use, leaving me in the dark.
