I then pedal away quickly as they get angry. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Deafening! *by D***W on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 February 2019* I used to have a traditional “ping” type bell on my bicycle I use for commuting and leisurely rides, but increasingly I was getting annoyed with still not being heard as I approached people on mixed pedestrian and cycle paths, particularly by people with headphones/earphones in. I did consider the Hornit without the built in light, but I liked that the combo light/horn was rechargeable, whereas just the horn version requires batteries.The order arrived ahead of schedule, and already fully charged. Easy to install. First impressions, the light is pretty good, and the whole thing is smaller than I anticipated (which is good). It has several settings (probably more than needed for most people). It’s a great commuter light - bright enough to see ahead in poorly lit areas, although I wouldn’t feel confident in dark country lanes if I was going at speed.The horn also comes with various settings, but this is where I take a star off and only give a four star rating. Don’t get me wrong, the horn is great, it’s frighteningly loud. I jump out of my skin when I use it, let alone pedestrians, and even some car drivers. The problem I have with it, is that to change the sound, you have to press and hold the horn button for four seconds.
