## Description

Award-winning SugarVeil Icing has the whiteness of a satin-finish flexible royal icing, but has quite a different taste: a creamy, melt-on-the-tongue, not-too-sweet, pleasant flavor. SugarVeil's great finesse is as a flexible icing which may be piped, combed, or smoothed onto silicone or parchment, that later "sets" so that the decorations may be peeled from the surface and malleably draped around the contours of a cake. Use with a SugarVeil Confectioners' Mat to create instant decorations, or fill a cartridge of the SugarVeil AirPen Piping Dispenser with SugarVeil Icing to personalize a cake, pastry or plated dessert with words and intricate decorative pieces. Review: Tricky to Use but So Pretty - Takes some time to get it right. I’ve tried Sugarveil before and never got it to work for me. This time I was determined to make it work. It is fussy. Not enough dry time and it won’t peel off the mold nicely, too much and it crumbles. But when you find the sweet spot, it’s beautiful.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does sugar veil set up stiff enough to stand a butterfly up in a cup cake? Also how difficult is it to cut through if it's wrapped around a cake?**
A: You can cut through it just fine. I haven't used it for 3d figures yet but if you form it and use supports it should set in a flutter form. I wouldn't do it weeks in advance like you can with the lace bc it will be hard to store thrm without breaking them, but making them a day or 2 before should be fine.

**Q: Does this work for sugar cookies- want to stamp it for cookies?**
A: Yes - you can smooth a thin layer of SugarVeil onto the back of any of our Confectionery Mats to make a nice fabric which stamps wonderfully with food color (and it’s also a good surface for printing photos!).

**Q: Can you use this on the sides of whipcream cakes?**
A: Yes, J.G., SugarVeil works wonderfully on whipped cream and frozen cakes. **Q: Will this 2-pack be enough to cover thirty(30), 3.5 inch diameter cupcakes?**
A: Dependent on the design of the cake lace....I am pretty sure it will!

I am new to using Sugar Veil and my first attempt didn't go so well. I watched some YouTube videos and the next time I used it, it worked like a charm. On delicate lace molds you really need to use a second coat after the first one is fully dry. I had ordered several molds and now that I have had a little practice all of them are turning out beautifully. The package says to use cornstarch on the molds to avoid sticking, but that did not work for me. I used Pam in a thin coat and used a new toothbrush to make sure it was in all the little crevices of the mold. Do your Sugar Veil project when you have plenty of time! This is not something you can rush! I did dry mine in the oven and that worked out very well. Most of my molds called for 200 degrees for 14 or 15 minutes. I have bought Anyana and Sugar Veil brand molds and they are both good quality products.
