Did it make a difference with the softness on the blanket?** A: Dryer sheets actually ruin the softness of throws, blankets, towels, etc. the chemical that battles the static is left on your blanket. At first it feels soft but after a number of times ( and depending on the material it could happen fast) your blanket has a film on the fibers! It sometimes can be remedied by washing in vinegar and water but it has ruined towels for me and if you google it, for thousands of others. If you truly want to soften a towel or blanket and get rid of static, add a cup of vinegar to your rinse cycle or to your wash cycle. It is a wonderful cleaner but softens also. It doesn’t leave a smell. **Q: I have a queen size bed, but the last one i bought in qs is small and overhangs about 3" on both side. whould i get a king size? will is shrink?** A: We have a queen and I ordered a king size. All good *by P***Y on April 2, 2024* Pleasant looking, soft feeling, lightweight, cotton blanket. Love the "orange-red" color. I purchased the King size option as I am tall and wanted to make sure I have enough material to wrap myself in. I want to be able to scrunch it up around me. I dont share. I dont have a nicely made bed, but if I did this would be a nice blanket to have showing. It is classy and charming looking. Could be dressed up or dressed down. I just have it balled up and tossed on my bed. Sometimes I use a sheet, sometimes I dont. Sometimes I start with a another blanket on top, but then always kick it off in the night. Basically, I dont baby this thing and it is "so far" holding up well. I will update on that if I experience anything worth sharing. Reasonably tight waffle weave. Lightweight, but not airy. Yet not super dense. It will layer nice with other blankets, or can be used for warm nights as is. I am not noticing any "pilling" or lint. I normally prefer to be buried under a heavy blanket or comforter, but I sleep with 3 large dogs and 1 husband in a small room with the door closed. It gets hot in there even in winter. I needed something else. Cotton breathes, and that is why I chose this (as well as my husband had bought one for himself and seems to like it--queen sized, gray, also no pilling-- he has had it a few weeks longer). Since it is cotton, I expect it to maybe shrink some in the wash. Not sure. I havent washed it yet. That was another reason for me to go larger. Says to wash in COLD water, and to tumble dry LOW . Some lint is expected. Not sure why it is a problem for some people to see lint.
