Inside, you have the assembled case inside clear plastic, and a small card with the product's serial number. Text on the back encourages you to go to Spigen's website to authenticate the product, letting you know how have a genuine Spigen product. I had heard they've had problems with copy-cats in the past. Also on the back is the text "Something You Want" This proved quite true, as the Spigen is really a solid product.The Slim Armor looks great inside and out. I ordered mine in the Metal Slate color, which looks nice. The Metal Slate's finish is matte, so it doesn't collect fingerprints like the shinier options might. The angled edges feel great in the hand, and make the Slim Armor easy to hold on to. The total package looks very modern. Overall, the surfaces feel smooth, and while it may not offer the same grippy feel of a full rubber / TPU case, I never felt that it would slip from my hand.The LG G2 without the case is very thin and light, so transitioning to the Slim Armor will be noticeable. It weighs more with the case, but it never becomes a burden. It increases the size of the phone, but makes it easier to hold, in my opinion. One-handed use with the LG G2 will be tougher at first, even for those with large hands like me. Once you get used to the weight and dimension changes, you won't mind at all. If anything, it will make you admire the engineering marvel that the G2 is, and make you want to protect it!The Slim Armor seems to offer great protection from all the reviews I've read, but hopefully, I'll never get to test that aspect of it. The dual-material design is pretty ingenious; it offers great protection, feels solid, and yet, doesn't add unnecessary bulk. It looks and feels like it can withstand anything you throw at it...or anything you throw it at.The Slim Armor's cut-outs offers easy access to all the LG G2's ports. No problems at all with USB cables and devices (even angled OTG cables). The headphone jack may be an issue in some applications. All my headphones fit with no issues, however, the plug from one set of Logitech speakers wouldn't fit (its a thick, angled monstrosity). Just an FYI..The one downside to owning the Slim Armor case is, currently Spigen doesn't sell the polycarbonate frames separately, for those who want to buy additional colors. They do offer this option for the iPhone and Galaxy S4 versions. Maybe they'll offer this in the future. I reached out to Spigen's support regarding this, they responded immediately to discuss the issue. If you ever have a problem with your product, or have a question, let them know, they are awesome!The price is good for a case of this quality (I paid $17.99 from Amazon), and is low enough that you could by more than one for the other color options.I'm very happy with my purchase, and I plan to buy more Spigen products in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect balance of drop protection and slim fit... *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 25, 2014* Let's face it - the G2 already has a 5.2" screen and doesn't need any added bulk. Like I said in the title, this case definitely provides another level of protection compared to the TPU only cases (I have the Diztronic TPU) with a negligible increase in thickness or bulk. It adds .140" (roughly 1/8") to the thickness of the phone and .190" (3/16") to the phone's width. It does not completely destroy the phone's form factor like a Ballistic or Otterbox case does. If heft is important to you, then this is probably the best amount of protection for the least amount of it.As long as we are measuring things with a digital caliper, something I really like is the fact that the lip around the screen leaves plenty of room for screen protectors and it's thickness (from the surface of the screen to the top of the lip) is only .017". That's 17 thousandths of an inch. We're talking less than a third of a 16th of an inch. The lip does not interfere with swiping or operating the touchscreen in any way at the edges. Genius. The lip is still there to protect the screen, but not so thick that it makes the outer edge of the gorgeous 5.2" 1080p IPS+ LED backlit LCD useless.The metal slate finish is very effective at repelling fingerprints and smudges. I would liken it to a matte gunmetal more than anything. It's got a very attractive industrial aesthetic going for it. My first impression was that it would make the phone hard to hold being kind of slick, but not an issue so far. The TPU around the screen is extra grippy and your fingers always wrap over it - problem solved.I can tell you that the choice of impact material in this case (TPU) is drastically superior to the silicone or rubber based materials used in the soft liners of both Seidio active and Speck Candyshell cases. Wife and stepson have those cases on an S3 and S4. The Seidio ripped on the front of the USB port area and that's it. the Candyshell has been back for warranty replacement twice now because the silicone at the front of the USB port, power button, and volume buttons stretched out and began to sag very badly. This TPU material should retain its shape much better and I applaud Spigen for choosing it.Possible negatives:-Headphone jack hole could be a bit tight on some plugs. This is not an issue for me now and would never be since I have no issue clearancing said hole with razor blades or drill bits.-The contour of the case does not follow the smooth radius of the body of the phone. It has angles. The are sharp. It does not bother me in the least, just wanted to point it out in case we have anybody in love with the profile of the G2, naked.Overall, I like it. I like it a lot. I will update the review over the next few weeks as I use it more day to day, but for now, it's a winner. If your are on the market for a slim but protective case - look no further. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well, it's survived a couple of nasty drops already... *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 14, 2014* My primary purpose for a case like this is to protect the phone, and it certainly has done that. I've knocked it off tables a few times (3 feet to hard flooring), dropped it once from about 6 feet up onto pavement, and launched it into a wall and then down onto concrete floor a fumbled attempt to catch it as it fell. All of this has left some scuff marks on the back and sides, but no apparent damage to the phone itself.There are a couple of minor issues that warrant downrating this case to 4 stars, in my opinion:- The hole in the upper right corner (when the phone display is facing you). None of the product photos really show it well. It's about a 1cm x 1cm cutout. I've no idea how much of an impact it has on drops (the cover extends far enough that the phone doesn't come in contact with a flat piece of glass), but it bothers me enough that I now flip my phone over, face up, so I don't have to see it.- The opening for the headphone/mic jack is too small (~7mm in diameter) for all but one plug I've got. To make matters worse, the opening is off-center (clearance of ~1mm on one side, ~2.5mm on the other). This effectively means I have to remove the case if I want to use headphones. (Yes, this could be mitigated by using a Bluetooth headset; I just haven't found one I like yet.)So, in short: It has served its primary purpose well, protecting the phone from damage multiple times.
