Review: Great value for money - This lens is basically a telescope that mounts to your camera. Don't expect auto focus and aperture settings. You need to compensate with ISO and exposure times. I've gotten some great shots of the moon, some shots of birds in the garden and a plane that is 12km's in the air that I could read the logo on. This lens is just over 100 Euro so don't expect it to do everything for you. It's a manual focus lens and you need to know a bit about the settings on your camera to get the most out of it and some processing skills. That said during the day on automatic mode on the camera it does a decent job. The actual build quality is really good. It's has a nice weight to it, the focus is very smooth and you look like a fancy pants photographer when you have it on the camera. 10/10 for this lens for the price.
Review: Focus not trivial - This is great value for money. No debate. The problem is that when you are playing with a 400-800mm things need to be right to get a good result. Finding the right focus is not trivial especially at long distances. F/8.6 is also quite small, making it difficult for deep sky photography. Mechanically, it isn't incredibly stable by the time you have the ring in. I think, it's a great entry level Tele but it has huge limitations. I would definitely buy it again.

This lens is basically a telescope that mounts to your camera. Don't expect auto focus and aperture settings. You need to compensate with ISO and exposure times. Photography can inspire with one simple click and yet there is this preconceived notion that you have to pay thousands of pounds to take a good photograph. Great photographs do not come from that preconceived notion but rather in the way you use your individual creativity to compose that image. That said, it brings me to the JINTU 420-800mm Telephoto lens. Price wise you simply cannot go wrong with this lens. It is very well made and extremely easy to use. You absolutely need to use this with a tripod but the results are really good. Definitely well worth the price.
